The satisfaction of a job well done

I always question myself when I embark on etching a new image. Do I really want to travel down this path? There are so many ways to fail! Like putting in a solid 6 hours of work aquatinting, only to discover that the acid had previously been exhausted. Fortunately, practice is never a waste of time.

I am really happy with how this image turned out. This is the artist proof, and there may be a slight alteration in the ink colour, but I plan to do an edition of 8 prints. Five of the prints proceeds will be donated to environmental causes (bushfire appeal and Koala habitat protection) .
