I created this table runner using wind fall leaves that I collected while on a trip to Cootamundra. It's lovely to have a visual memory of an experience. I think that's why travellers enjoy visiting little gift shops to find something different or unusual and unique to that area. The fabric is linen and silk. The patterning is created using the weave of the fabric, eucalyptus contact print and eco-dyed method with a silk cord embellishment, a bit like the wanderings of a country road. A perfect background to my Autumn table display bowl.
This piece was a trial sample. I think that it will be worthwhile making some more for my Etsy site.
