I have spent a very frustrating day trying to fix my wix website. It is so hard to talk to an actual person. Hopefully Alex, (who is probably in the Philippines via the USA) can sort out the issue and I can rest easy knowing that I'm not about to lose all of my data entries.
Earlier in the week I was reading an old Printmaking in Australia
textbook. It mentioned how printmaking was a 500 year old tradition that was completely undervalued by Australians. The textbook was from the 80s. Unfortunately, the same is true today. It is very frustrating that the general public and indeed galleries, don't appreciate print-making, or classify it as a fine art. Regardless, I am going to continue to create images using a variety of printmaking techniques because my skills are improving, it's fun and I enjoy the process.
Here are a couple of artist proofs of the vintage caravans I am currently working on. I am going to edition them next week, then maybe add an aquatint (to add more tone) for a version 2 edition.
What do you think of these cuties?
